Emmi Tikkanen is Oncology RWE Scientist in Global Medical Evidence Generation at Pfizer, where she applies real-world data, epidemiology, and advanced analytics to support evidence generation across oncology. With more than 18 years of experience spanning RWD/RWE, genomics, and epidemiology, she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the use of complex data in healthcare and pharmaceutical research.
Prior to her current role, Emmi served as Pfizer’s RWE Lead for Finland and Senior Medical Affairs Data Expert, leading data-driven evidence initiatives and collaborating across Medical Affairs and Digital teams. Her expertise includes enterprise-scale evidence generation, federated analyses, multi-omics analytics, statistical programming, high-performance computing, and AI model development. She is particularly interested in translating emerging data science approaches into robust, practical evidence that can support better decision-making across the drug development lifecycle.
